But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well! – Matthew 6:33

We are the chosen generation, we are the royal priesthood, we are the holy nation, and we are called upon by God. The God of Abraham who sent his one and only son to die for us and pay the price on the cross. God is there to help us. He is there to guide us in our life. We are to live for him and exalt his name higher than anyone. We are not to please or think about man, but rather seek favor in the eyes of the Lord!

“The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.” – Psalms 34:15

When we live for God and only him, we become more righteous in the holy spirit. Referring to Psalm 34:15 it says, “the Lord is upon the righteous”. That means when you are righteous God is on your side and he is willing to be with you throughout your life. What is better than having the Lord our father beside us through all our hardships and pain. When we suffer, we do not need to suffer on our own, because God will never forsake those who live for him.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. – Matthew 11:28

When we live for God, he will make you at peace. In Matthew 11:28 it says, “come to me, all you who are weary and burdened”. God has created us all the same. As humans we have a million different problems in our life which may turn up to be a climax in our life. Although God is saying to those who are burdened to come to him and seek him because he has the power to set you free and no one else can do that.

However, the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you. – Deuteronomy 23:5

When we live for God he will turn or pain into a blessing. You may not be able to realise it at that moment, but God always gives a challenge for us to overcome and there is always a reason for that to happen. God is like a trainer who prepares for life’s hardships. In Deuteronomy 23:5 is saying, “the Lord turned the curse into a blessing for you”.  When we live for Christ, he will not let us suffer pain. When we think we suffer we are receiving a blessing from God. Soon what you thought was a bad thing really appears to have an outcome which is more than you expected

So, I am challenging you to Live for Christ! – Newlyn B. Inez
